Liverpool and Arsenal monitor Croatia Euro 2016 star
Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports in Italy.
The 23-year-old joined Inter Milan on an initial 18-month loan deal last January.
And his form for the Serie A giants convinced Roberto Mancini to tie him down on a permanent basis at the start of 2016.
But his performances have apparently caught the eye of a trio of Europe’s top clubs.
Beaten Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid are said to be monitoring the former Dinamo Zagreb ace, who figured for Ante Cacic’s side at Euro 2016.
While Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal are weighing up moves to bring him to England.
Any deal for Brozovic would not come cheaply though, with Inter thought to be holding out for £21million to let him leave the San Siro.
Liverpool’s alleged interest may have been prompted by frustration in their attempts to sign Borussia Monchengladbach ace Mahmoud Dahoud and Udinese’s Piotr Zielisnki, who is now said to be on his way to AC Milan.
Meanwhile, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is under pressure to strengthen his squad following his side’s lack of sustained title challenge last season and he has already splashed out £34m on Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka.
