Reds eye 'next Zlatan Ibrahimovic'
Liverpool are reportedly keen on Swedish youngster Alexander Isak - who has been dubbed the 'next Zlatan Ibrahimovic'.
The 17-year-old has been drawing interest at AIK Solna for his goalscoring prowess.
And the rising star carries some resemblance in his forward play to national hero and Manchester United superstar Ibrahimovic.
Jurgen Klopp's side are one of an array of top European clubs said to be monitoring the striker.
According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, Liverpool face competition from Leicester, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid too.
The Catalan giants have apparently stepped up their pursuit by watching Isak more intently.
But both Liverpool and Leicester are claimed to have continued their own tracking of the player in recent months.
Isak has six league goals in 18 games this term, while he's also netted seven times for Sweden's U17s side.
Klopp is well known for nurturing young stars, especially from his time at Borussia Dortmund, and could look to make an approach if Isak keeps progressing.
However, Madrid's interest sparked enquiries in Swedish media, and Isak called it "pretty fun" that people were following him.
On his potential, Isak's AIK team-mate Obasi told Swedish outlet FotbollSkanalen: "He is a great potential, and I absolutely believe that he will go far.
"If he concentrates and continues as he is, I think he can become Sweden's next Ibrahimovic.
"He has the potential, everyone can see it."
