Watford boss Walter Mazzarri has claimed Liverpool are the best team his side have faced in the Premier League this season.

Watford were turned over 6-1 by Liverpool yesterday, sending Jurgen Klopp's side top of the Premier League.

The Reds had too much firepower for the north London side and have already notched 30 goals this season - their highest ever tally after 11 games.

And Mazzarri has insisted they are the best side he has come up against, despite also facing Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal this term.

"First of all, congratulations to Liverpool because I am very, very impressed," Mazzarri said.

"Not only tactically but even on the running and the pressing. They are a really great team.

"From the teams that we have played against, there is no doubt that it is the team I am most impressed with."

And Mazzarri didn't stop there, tipping Liverpool to go on and win the title this season under Klopp.

"If they continue like this, then they are No 1 in my list for winning the Premier League," he added.

"Of course this is only from the teams that we have played against."

Klopp, however, remained level-headed after the match and insisted it's too early in the season to be talking about silverware.

”If somebody thinks being one point ahead after 11 match days is a big sign for the rest of the season then I can’t help this person,“ Klopp said.

"We stay cool. It’s the best position I can imagine but nothing else happened."
