Everton rival Liverpool in chase for Sardar Azmoun
Everton are reportedly in to swoop under Liverpool's nose to sign Iran's Sardar Azmoun.
Liverpool are chasing the so called 'Iranian Messi' but Ronald Koeman's side are said to be the most recent team to be in the hunt, according to Persian Football.
The striker has caught the eye in the Champions League this season and has been an integral part of the FC Rostov's strike force since joining them on loan last year.
He scored against Ajax and Anderlecht to help Rostov reach the group stages of the Champions League this season. He also netted at Vicente Calderon to equalise against Atletico Madrid in his side's eventual 2-1 loss to the Spanish heavyweights.
The 21-year-old scored 12 times last year and made the move from Rubin Kazan permanent at the beginning of the season.
He also boasts an impressive international record – scoring 16 times in 22 outings for his country – the fire power that Koeman could be looking for.
Stoke City and Olympique Marseille are among the other clubs reported to be interested in signing the Iranian.
