Liverpool and Tottenham plot surprise move for striker
Liverpool and Tottenham are both considering moves to sign Javier Hernandez, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp is currently drawing up a list of potential targets for Liverpool, with a winger at the forefront of his mind.
Meanwhile, at Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing a move for a playmaker.
But according to the Daily Mirror, a striker is high on the agenda for both clubs.
Spurs have only seen Harry Kane recently return to action, while things haven’t quite gone according to the plan for Vincent Janssen.
Daniel Sturridge’s Anfield future has been the subject of much speculation, with West Ham keeping abreast of his situation.
And the Daily Mirror claim Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in nabbing Hernandez.
The Mexican has reinvented himself at Bayer Leverkusen after failing to make the grade at Manchester United.
It is thought that Spurs would look to negotiate on Hernandez’s £33.5m asking price.
However, the report also indicates Valencia have targeted Hernandez as the player to fire them up La Liga table and would be willing to meet his buyout clause.
