Liverpool eye Spanish stopper
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is eyeing up a new goalkeeper according to Marca.
The Spanish newspaper reports that the Reds boss is chasing Antonio Adan of Real Betis as he is attracted by the player's supposed low buyout clause of a mere £6.8million.
With his club struggling in the bottom half of La Liga, the 29-year-old has been kept busy this season but has impressed many with some dazzling individual displays.
Adan's teammate, Danish left-back Riza Durmisi has already spoken of Liverpool's reputed interest in him in recent days and Anfield chiefs could now be plotting a double raid on the club from the Andalusian capital of Seville.
However, Liverpool could face stiff competition for the keeper's signature from Olympique Marseille whose recent takeover has increased their spending power.
'OM', who have been purchased by American businessman Frank McCourt, the former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team, have just brought Dimitri Payet back to the club for £25million, hot on the heels of agreeing to sign veteran left-back Patrice Evra from Juventus.
Adan came through the ranks of his home city club Real Madrid but found himself playing second fiddle to long-serving number one Iker Casillas while at the Bernabeu.
He spent a season in Italy in 2013-14 with Cagliari but after just two appearances for the Sardinian side he returned to Spain with Betis with whom his career has been galvanised, playing over 100 matches.
