Adam Lallana close to signing new LFC deal
Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is close to penning a new four-year contract.
Talks are at an advanced stage and the England international will follow in the footsteps of team-mates Philippe Coutinho and Joe Gomez, who both recently committed their futures to the Reds.
Lallana has blossomed under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp over the past 16 months and the Liverpool boss was keen to ensure the club rewarded his progress with a lucrative extension.
His current deal runs until 2019 but the new contract will keep him at Anfield until the summer of 2021.
Lallana endured a difficult start to his Liverpool career following a £25million move from Southampton in the summer of 2014.
However, the 28-year-old kicked on last term and flourished in the first half of this campaign after being moved by Klopp into a central midfield role.
Lallana has contributed seven goals and seven assists so far this season.
