Oxlade-Chamberlain tipped for Liverpool transfer
Liverpool are reported to be leading the race to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is keen to leave Arsenal this summer.
The 23-year-old has been mulling over his future since the season ended and it is claimed a move away from the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards after he struggled to nail down a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s side.
The England international fears his chances of going to the World Cup in Russia will be severely hampered if he continues to be left out of the first-team picture at Arsenal, and a move away looks to be in the pipeline.
Liverpool appear to be favourites to strike a deal and could offer Oxlade-Chamberlain the chance to play in his preferred position of central midfield, but there is also interest from elsewhere.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been a big admirer since his time in charge of Barcelona and could make a move, while Chelsea are also said to be in the hunt.
Arsenal will not let him go on the cheap though and will hold out for a fee in the region of £25million, a figure Jurgen Klopp would be happy to meet as it is much less than the figure Roma want for Mohamed Salah.
