Reds rout Gunners in stunning display
Liverpool produced a stunning display to beat Arsenal 4-0 in the Premier League at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp's side went into the international break on a high after ruthlessly dismantling the woeful visitors.
Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane struck before the interval with Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge wrapping up the points in the second half.
Loris Karius, who was surprisingly recalled by Klopp in place of Simon Mignolet, didn't have a serious save to make all afternoon.
The Reds flew out the traps and were ahead on 17 minutes. Joe Gomez crossed from the right and Firmino nodded home from six yards out.
Liverpool were first to everything as battles were won all over the field.
Jordan Henderson and Salah went close before the hosts finally doubled their account five minutes before the break.
It was a blistering counter-attack as the outstanding Emre Can and Firmino combined to release Mane.
The Senegal international skipped away from Rob Holding and whipped an unstoppable right footer into the far corner.
The second half brought more of the same with Liverpool completely dominant.
Salah made it 3-0 when he beat Hector Bellerin and raced half the length of Anfield to slot past Petr Cech.
Sturridge came on for Mane and the striker needed just three minutes to make an impact.
Salah put it on a plate for him with a delightful cross and Sturridge headed in as complete the demolition job.
