Reds trying to push through Thomas Lemar deal
Liverpool have readied a medical team to help seal a deal for Thomas Lemar if they reach an agreement with Monaco.
After sealing the transfer of Naby Keita and agreeing a £40million deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Liverpool are now keen to complete a sensational week of spending by signing Lemar.
Liverpool have had an offer of £64.5m rejected by Monaco as they look to keep hold of one of their remaining star assets.
But the Reds are confident of breaking down Monaco’s resolve with a fresh bid before the transfer window deadline.
And the Guardian claim Liverpool have medical staff on stand-by to travel to the France national team base in Clairefontaine.
Lemar is currently with the French squad preparing for their World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands on Thursday.
The left-winger is understood to be keen on moving to the Premier League but Monaco are blocking the transfer.
Some reports had claimed the arrival of Senegal winger Keita Balde from Lazio on a five-year deal could help Liverpool’s chances of signing Lemar.
