Watford will listen to offers for Doucoure
Liverpool have received encouragement in the move for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure after Javi Garcia admitted the Hornets will listen to offers for the Frenchman.
The 25-year-old joined the Hornets for £6million from Rennes in 2016 but it wasn’t until his second season at Vicarage Road that the midfielder found consistency.
Doucure’s scored seven goals in 22 league appearances this term and admitted earlier this month that he dreams of moving to Anfield.
"Liverpool is a club that needs no introduction," the Hornets star told French outlet Canal Plus. "I was impatient to play there at Anfield, I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me it would be a dream to play for a club like this."
Watford don’t want to lose the Frenchman but Garcia admits Doucoure has ambitions to play in the Champions League and the Hornets will listen to suitable offers.
"He is playing now for a big, big club — Watford. Maybe in the future he can play for another big club who plays in the Champions League. But I would like him to play in the future for Watford in Europe.
"I’m sure Doucoure will help us with his best attitude until the end of the season. Then we will see what happens. I would like him to stay with us for a long time.
"If there is an offer, we will discuss to find the best solution. Everyone wants to play in the Champions League, the big competitions."
