Barcelona are prepared to sell Ousmane Dembele this summer just a year after he joined the club and are already contacting potential clubs they could sell him to, according to reports.

The French winger – who has been linked with Liverpool recently – moved to Camp Nou from Borussia Dortmund in a deal that could reach £135million, though missed much of the start of his maiden campaign through injury.

After returning to full fitness he still struggled to hold down a first-team role in Ernesto Valverde’s side, with Philippe Coutinho frequently preferred on the right wing.

And now Spanish radio station RAC1 claim that Barcelona are ready to cut their losses on a player who has netted just three times in La Liga this season.

Club officials are ready to offload Dembele either as a straight cash transfer or a loan with a mandatory option to buy.

They have already contacted several top European clubs who could afford to pay a similar fee to the £135m Barca paid last summer, and Liverpool are likely to have been one of the clubs they reached out to.

The Merseysiders have recently been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, with reports in France claiming Jürgen Klopp has been 'obsessed' with Dembele ever since he joined the German’s old club Borussia Dortmund.

Dembele arrived a year after Klopp had already left, and the Liverpool boss could not hide his appreciation for the winger when asked about rumours linking the club with both Dembele and Nabil Fekir.
