Lyon manager Bruno Genesio has dropped a hint that Nabil Fekir is set to play his final match for the club this weekend.

Fekir has scored 57 goals in 153 games since breaking into Lyon’s first-team back in 2013 but the 24-year-old is set for a big-money transfer move to Liverpool this summer.

Reports suggest the Reds have already wrapped up a £62million deal for Fekir and it’s understood the France forward has agreed a five-year contract with the Merseyside outfit.

However, ahead of the summer transfer window, Lyon have an all-important clash with Nice, with the side hoping to secure the final Champions League qualification spot in Ligue 1.

Lyon boss Genesio has urged Fekir – and any other players set to move on from the club – to give their all before leaving.

"We have to put aside everything related to emotion. For some, this may be the last game," Genesio told olweb.fr.

"It must give (those players) even more strength because you have to say: ‘(I will) leave by qualifying this team in the Champions League’.

"There is also the World Cup. The very great players are able to ignore all this. I think Nabil will play a big match on Saturday."

Fekir insists that he was fully focused on the clash with Nice amid the intense speculation linking him with Liverpool. "I do not think about this at all," he told France Football earlier this week.
