Alisson will fly to Merseyside to undergo a medical ahead of completing his world record £66.8million move from Roma to Liverpool.

The Brazil international has agreed personal terms on a five-year contract after being granted permission to hold talks with the Reds.

Alisson will cut short his holiday in Sardinia to complete the formalities before becoming the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. An official announcement should follow in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper is unlikely to be part of Jurgen Klopp's squad for the pre-season tour of America as he's given time off following his exertions at the World Cup.

However, he should link up with his new teammates for the four-day training camp in France ahead of the friendly against Napoli in Dublin on August 4.
