Naby Keita set to undergo hamstring scan
Liverpool will discover the extent of Naby Keita's latest injury setback with the midfielder set to undergo a scan on a suspected hamstring issue.
The 23-year-old was withdrawn during the first half of Guinea's 1-1 draw with Rwanda in Kigali on Tuesday after going down holding the back of his thigh.
Keita flew straight back to Merseyside after helping his countrymen earn a point from their latest Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, and will be assessed by Reds medical staff this afternoon.
The summer signing from RB Leipzig was spotted training alone after joining up with Guinea last week, but Standard Sport understands he was free of injury upon being released for international duty.
Keita recovered quickly from the back spasm that forced him off during the early stages of Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Napoli earlier this month, claiming a place on the bench as Jurgen Klopp's side drew 0-0 with Manchester City.
However, having pulled up while representing his country, the Guinean could now be facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
