Liverpool won't be moving for Luka Jovic in January
Liverpool have no intention of launching a bid for Bundesliga top scorer Luka Jovic.
Reports in Germany have claimed that the Reds are battling it out with Barcelona and Bayern Munich for the right to sign the 20-year-old striker.
However, the ECHO understands that Jurgen Klopp isn't considering a move for Jovic, who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica.
The Serbia international has scored nine goals so far this season and has attracted interest from scouts across Europe.
But Liverpool are not in the market for a young centre-forward as Klopp is excited about the potential of Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster.
Solanke has yet to feature for the Reds so far this season but scored twice for England U21s against Italy last week.
Klopp also has high hopes for Brewster, who spurned interest from the Bundesliga before signing a professional contract with the Reds last summer.
The 18-year-old is on the comeback trail after undergoing surgery on his knee and ankle.
He hasn't played since last January but is now involved in light training outside at Melwood and is eyeing a senior debut over the coming months.
