Liverpool enter Philippe Coutinho transfer race
Liverpool have sensationally entered the race to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer, it has been claimed.
The Brazil international left Anfield in January last year but hasn’t been able to make that much of an impression at the Nou Camp.
There has been speculation aplenty in recent weeks with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all interested in Coutinho.
But now Le10 Sport claim Liverpool are interested in re-signing the 27-year-old.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his side again after finishing one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League last season.
And news of the Reds being interested in Coutinho comes just a few days after the Brazilian confirmed he could leave Barcelona.
"I don't know if I will continue at Barcelona,” Coutinho said while at the Copa America.
"Nobody knows about the future, and right now I am focused on playing with my [national] team [at the Copa America].”
Coutinho has scored 32 goals in 76 fixtures but has been in and out of Ernesto Valverde’s side.
The midfield maestro has been linked with a switch to French champions PSG with Neymar possibly making a stunning return to Barcelona.
But Coutinho is said to be hesitant on moving to the club.
The Brazilian is also said to prefer a switch to Chelsea over United as he wants to respect his history with Liverpool.
But if the Reds are interested in Coutinho as the reports claim it could be the perfect solution for him.
