Liverpool make approach for Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele
Liverpool have made an approach to Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele, according to reports in France.
The winger has failed to fulfil his potential since arriving at Camp Nou for £135million.
With Barcelona exploring the possibility of re-signing Neymar, it’s likely they will have to offload a number of stars to reach Financial Fair Play regulations.
One of those is Dembele and it has also been speculated that he could be used in a potential swap deal.
Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic have also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain as part of a potential exchange.
According to L’Equipe, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have both made approaches for the Frenchman.
Jürgen Klopp is said to be a fan of the 22-year-old, who of course impressed so much at the German’s former club Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern Munich see Dembele as their alternative solution to Leroy Sane after Manchester City made it clear they do not intend to sell.
Antoine Griezmann will complete his £107m switch from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona this month.
His arrival is said to have been pivotal in Dembele’s choice to contemplate his future in Spain.
He has not been enjoying his football of late after a series of injuries had seen him fall out of favour under Ernesto Valverde.
