Liverpool end Mbappe interest to chase Jadon Sancho signing
Liverpool have dropped their transfer interest in Kylian Mbappe to focus on sealing the signing of Manchester United target Jadon Sancho, according to reports in Spain.
Mbappe has increasingly been linked with a switch to Liverpool in recent weeks, with Jurgen Klopp even admitting the club would love to land the Frenchman.
Klopp conceded it might be impossible for any side to buy Mbappe, with Paris Saint-Germain paying £165.7million for the 20-year-old two years ago.
Mbappe has only got better since his move to PSG and El Desmarque claim Liverpool have switched their attentions to Sancho.
The Borussia Dortmund star is a top target of United’s and the Red Devils are set to make a formal approach for Sancho in January.
Klopp does not want the pass up the chance to sign Sancho, who has already decided to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.
There is a growing discord between Sancho and Dortmund and the Englishman was humiliated in their last game when he was hooked after just 36 minutes against Bayern Munich.
United believe they can take advantage of that tension between player and club in January, but Klopp is determined to sign Sancho.
The goalscorer already has four offers on the table and is keen to return to the Premier League and continue to prove to Manchester City they were wrong to deny him a first-team spot.
Sancho could cost over £100m and has provided an impressive 31 assists in 71 appearances for Dortmund, as well as chipping in with 18 goals.
