Liverpool send Virgil van Dijk to specialist over injury but remain hopeful over Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool are sending Virgil van Dijk to see a specialist on Sunday as they sweat on the long-term fitness of their £75m centre-back.
The Reds defender was forced off early on during Saturday's Merseyside derby draw with Everton after a shocking tackle from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
After initially trying to play on, the Dutchman was withdrawn for Joe Gomez but was able to walk off unaided at Goodison Park.
