Liverpool FC has released new footage from inside Anfield showing how quickly the Main Stand’s new roof has taken shape in recent weeks.

A specially positioned camera on site captures construction workers installing 250 tonnes of steel in between games

Anfield’s two crawler cranes completed the important task of erecting the 10th and final front cantilever beneath the truss last week.

The cranes are set to leave later this month, following the completion of the main steel work.

Liverpool FC’s expanded Main Stand will create over 1,000 new matchday roles. The stand is set to comprise three tiers, a widened player tunnel, new team benches, wheelchair viewing positions and state-of-the-art facilities for fans inside.
