Liverpool FC is staging its final recruitment fair for local people to find out about more than 1,000 new matchday roles at Anfield, in preparation for the Main Stand opening next season.

The expanded 20,500-seater stand features state-of-the-art fan concourse and hospitality facilities together with premium public spaces – creating a wide range of opportunities across the club’s matchday kitchen, retail-catering, safety and hospitality teams.

The recruitment event is taking place at Anfield on Thursday May 26 from 4pm to 7pm. The club’s matchday operations team will be on hand to talk to those interested in the wide range of opportunities and explain how they can be a part of the world’s greatest football family. Advice will also be available to those interested in specialist hospitality and catering roles at Anfield.

Lise Jenkins, human resources director at Liverpool FC, said: “We are delighted that the expansion of the Main Stand has given a huge number of people an opportunity to become part of our football family.

“This latest recruitment event is a great way to access a wide range of new roles at Anfield and we’d encourage anyone interested to attend.”

When complete, Anfield’s expanded Main Stand will become one of the largest all-seater single stands in European football.

Cllr Ann O’Byrne, deputy mayor of Liverpool, said: “Ensuring people in Anfield and north Liverpool have access to employment is an absolute priority for the partners behind the regeneration.

“There will be many more jobs and apprenticeships created as the project continues, but this is a really important moment for Anfield with the stadium expansion nearing completion and the club offering hundreds of matchday roles as part of its major recruitment drive.”

The Main Stand’s two new concourses have been specially designed to give fans a first-class experience, creating matchday opportunities for kiosk catering staff, programme, food and beer sellers and team leaders.

New modern catering facilities have increased openings for chefs at all levels, kitchen runners and porters. The expansion has also broadened Anfield’s hospitality, conferencing and events offer, creating new roles for bar and waiting staff, hosts, porters and supervisors.

Food will be an important part of the Main Stand experience, with fans able to look forward to an improved offer which includes Anfield’s take on street food.
