Latest images from Anfield capture the Main Stand’s remarkable transformation exactly 12 months after construction workers raised a 650-tonne roof truss over the stadium – reaching a historic milestone.

The 13-hour operation, performed by two of the UK’s largest cranes, saw the truss installed onto two 28m-high towers, completing one of the most complex parts of the Main Stand build programme.

In the last year, significant redevelopment work has been undertaken with the now 20,500-seater stand featuring state-of-the-art fan concourses and hospitality facilities, together with premium public space – creating one of the largest all-seater single stands in European football.
