Jürgen Klopp reacted to Liverpool's impressive 3-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday by declaring that his side still has plenty of room for improvement.

The Reds set up an Audi Cup final meeting with Atletico Madrid tomorrow by soundly beating the tournament's hosts thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge.

With the start of the Premier League season - a clash with Watford at Vicarage Road - just under two weeks away, Klopp's team look to be shaping up nicely.

But, ever the perfectionist, the manager believes there is even more to come.

Read his thoughts on the win over Carlo Ancelotti's side, Salah's growing influence, the efforts of Alberto Moreno and more in our summary below.

On Philippe Coutinho in central midfield...

"He began in the centre and then he switched to the left side because he is good at that and then we thought we'd do both things and he played very well. [Around] 45-60 minutes he played very well, he can play both positions and that's what he did."

On how he saw the game as a whole...

"Not quite as positive [as others] because [although] I saw that we won [and] nearly everything was super, we're still in preparations and we have to think about what we have to do that helps us for all games. We haven't played enough football so far and Bayern had too much possession. We scored twice but gave [the ball] to Bayern and had to run around too much. My team showed how well they can play football - the third goal was great, it was a really good move in attack. In the first half we played very well on the counter, defensive pressing was very good. If you look at the intensity of the training in the last few days, it was very good."

On the importance of goalscorer Salah...

"I think Mo has been very good ever since he was at Basel. This year, we could get him [and] he's a really great player for us. We knew Mane was the main player for tempo, we have a lot of tempo, a lot of fine creative players, but not in the same kind of rhythm. There are a few younger players, so I think it was sensible to get him and a very good thing."

On Moreno's excellent performance...

"It was a really good game from Alberto, that's why we kept him on, because every second he was playing better, he was more present. He's really fit but he's had a little problem with his thigh since the day before yesterday. But we had a test with him this morning and he really played well. The players decide themselves how many games they play."

On how the team is shaping up...

"As a manager, I look at that, and maybe it's [because of] tiredness that it hasn't been 100 per cent but I see that we're getting there. We have really trained a lot around these games and it's not that we're fresh for the preparation games. I'm quite satisfied with how they've played but I think we can do better."
