James McConnell is an attacking midfielder who made his U18s debut as an U16 player in 2020-21.
Signed from Sunderland as an U15 player, he netted his first goal for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's side with a superb strike in the 2-1 away win at Stoke City.
James signed his first professional deal with the club in September 2021 and then agreed a long-term extension 13 months later.
