Young defender Remi Savage was on the mark and a trialist netted the other goal for Barry Lewtas' side.
Reflecting on the win, Lewtas told Liverpoolfc.com: "The boys played well and it was another chance for us to give them more valuable minutes.
"I was really pleased with how they played and in the second half we created more chances to add to our good play."
