Big Red Summer offers a packed schedule of activities to get young people and families active and enjoying the outdoors to improve physical and mental wellbeing – helping both body and mind.
From June until the end of August, LFC Foundation’s Big Red Summer is offering a wide range of sports to try, summer holiday camps, tournaments and community events at its community hubs and other venues across Liverpool City Region.
A firm family favourite are LFC Foundation’s GO PLAY! sessions, which provide free, fully inclusive and accessible games and activities for the whole family to enjoy in 15 areas across Liverpool, including Belle Vale, Doric, Garston, Stanley and Victoria Park.
Some of the popular GO PLAY! activities that encourage families to get active together outdoors in safe green community spaces include dodgeball, kwik cricket, ultimate frisbee, and orienteering games.
Game On is another exciting option for youngsters to try out and enjoy this summer. The new collaborative programme with Nike offers children of all abilities the opportunity to play a variety of sports – including boxing, tennis, cricket, athletics, basketball, cycling, gymnastics and much more in their local area.
All LFC Foundation sessions are COVID-safe and comply with current government guidelines.
There is so much to enjoy this summer with LFC Foundation, so get back out there and have fun.
