Liverpool U21s meet local supporters in Reno, Nevada
Liverpool U21s met with local fans in Reno, Nevada ahead of their game against Sacramento Republic FC as the final leg of their United States tour.
On arriving in Reno, the team hosted a special open training session which gave local supporters the opportunity to watch the youngsters train in preparation for their match at Greater Nevada Field this evening.
Fans were then invited to meet Cameron Brannagan and Kevin Stewart and the Reds squad held a signing session too, with many local children in attendance ahead of the fixture.
On the trip so far, defender Tom Brewitt said: “It has been fantastic to meet the local supporters over here in the US and to see their passion and support for the club.
“The support we have received from the fans demonstrates the true global appeal of the club and makes me proud to play for the U21s team.
“The trip has been brilliant for the lads and is a great way to end the season. The staff of Sacramento Republic FC have been different class and we would like to thank them for being so welcoming. We hope to get a good result tonight to end the trip on a high.”
U21s manager Michael Beale said: “This trip has been a great experience for the team and the interest in the U21s shows what a massive club Liverpool FC is.
“I am sure that this tour will serve as a nice warm-up for when the first team visit California on their pre-season tour in July.”
