Academy striker Rhian Brewster netted a vital goal as England U17s came from behind to beat Austria 3-2 in a Euro 2017 qualifier in Romania on Sunday.

Steve Cooper's side made it three successive wins in Group 9 to seal qualification for the elite qualifying round next Spring.

After going behind the Young Lions responded in fine style. Reds U18s striker Brewster had an effort cleared off the line before Newcastle defender Lewis Gibson made it 1-1.

The 16-year-old Liverpool striker then played a part in the second goal when he hit the post and the ball fell kindly for Reading forward Danny Loader who made it 2-1.

Brewster then added the decisive third goal from the penalty spot and although Austria pulled a goal back, Cooper's side held on.
