Alexander-Arnold and Woodburn on target in international wins
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn both scored to help England and Wales U19s to victories last night.
Academy graduate Alexander-Arnold - who netted twice in England's 3-2 defeat to Woodburn's Wales last Saturday - set the young Three Lions on their way to a 2-0 victory over Greece in Rhyl by converting a 20th-minute penalty.
Trevor Chalobah's second-half header made the points safe for England, who have now progressed to the Elite Round of qualifying for the U19 European Championship.
Woodburn, meanwhile, was at the double in Wales' 6-2 thrashing of Luxembourg in Bangor.
The Liverpool U23s forward drew his country level with a brilliant free-kick in the 21st minute, before extending their lead to 3-1 with a classy side-footed effort early in the second half.
However, Wales missed out on reaching the Elite Round by virtue of an inferior goal difference in their matches against England and Greece.
