View from the manager, Steven Gerrard

"I was very happy with our performance out in Maribor. I asked the players before the game was I going to get a Spartak performance, which was an individual performance, or am I going to get a Sevilla performance where we were excellent all over the pitch? So I think we got more of a Sevilla performance.

"The players that were missing, the likes of Conor Masterson, Rhian Brewster and Edvard Tagseth, are going to find it hard to get back in because you can't give players opportunities like that, give them the shirt and they perform to their maximum and then take it off them. I've got a lot of [selection] headaches on my hands now but it's a good problem."
