Steven Gerrard's Liverpool U19s beat Manchester United 2-0 at Prenton Park on Wednesday to book their place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League.
Captain Ben Woodburn headed in the opener after 11 minutes and gave an excellent performance throughout an entertaining last-16 tie that was full of goalmouth action.
Bobby Adekanye was a constant threat for the young Reds, but when the winger went off injured after 71 minutes his replacement Rafael Camacho came on and curled a brilliant strike into the bottom corner to secure victory.
