Curtis Jones has been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for April.

The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive run for Liverpool U23s that begin with an outstanding 86th-minute winner to complete a 3-2 comeback victory over Chelsea.

Jones was also on target in their 6-0 success at Leicester City as Neil Critchley’s team ended the Premier League 2 season in fourth place.

He faces competition from Dan Butterworth (Blackburn Rovers), Tyrese Francois (Fulham), Mason Greenwood (Manchester United), Liam Cullen (Swansea City) and Ryan Giles (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

The winner will be announced on Tuesday.
