How do I use the NFC passes?

Liverpool Football Club is now using NFC technology to access Anfield. If this is your first visit to the stadium this season, you will need to use a smartphone to gain entry at the turnstiles, except for existing season ticket holders and Members who are currently in possession of a photo ID card. There will be no Print@Home or paper tickets.

Supporters are advised to download their NFC pass/digital ticket to their smartphone before arriving at Anfield. If you have purchased multiple tickets, these will need to be downloaded individually to your phone.

For all season ticket holders and Members: Please ensure you have already downloaded your seasonal NFC pass onto your smartphone. A guide can be found here.

For all non-season ticket holders and non-Members: Please ensure you follow this guide to download your NFC pass(es) onto your smartphone. 

If you are the lead booker and have purchased tickets for friends and family not registered on our ticketing system, please note the following to ensure that they will be able to access the stadium on matchday…

• After logging in, go to My Account, select the ‘Tickets’ tab, select the transaction for the ticket you want to forward, then click ‘DISTRIBUTE’ and follow the on-screen instructions. An email will then be sent to the supporter with instructions on how to download their own ticket.
• If supporters within your booking do not have a smartphone, you must download their ticket(s) to your own smartphone for them to gain access into the stadium on matchday. See our guide on how to do this.
• We advise all supporters to download their pass(es) well in advance of travelling to Anfield on matchday.

What time do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open one hour prior to kick-off (3pm). However, we recommend that supporters arrive at the stadium early. Please be aware that there is no through road on Anfield Road and is closed in part for the stadium expansion. To access the Kop from Stanley car park you can access from Dahlia Walk via 97 Avenue or Arkles Lane.

The ticket office will be open from 9.15am to support with any ticketing enquiries.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

No, all supporters wishing to attend this fixture must secure their ticket in advance. Tickets will not be available to purchase on matchday.

Tickets are available to buy online only until 4pm on Friday October 15.

Disabled and ambulant supporters who require assistance can call us on 0151 264 2500, option 2.

Can I bring a bag to the stadium? 

Bags are not permitted in the stadium and there is no bag storage facility. The only exceptions are:

• A small A5 bag carrying hygiene products
• A small A5 bag carrying medicines 
• Club shop bags carrying purchases from the LFC retail store

Those bags permitted will be subjected to a bag search on entry point.

What’s the best way to get to Anfield?

Fans are advised that the 917 bus service will NOT be in operation for this game. We therefore ask that you plan your journey to and from the stadium in advance. You can view the updated travel map and route planner here.

Is car parking available for this game?

Yes, there is limited free car parking available in Stanley car park on a first come, first served basis.

Anfield Road is closed to all vehicles and pedestrian traffic as part of the club’s stadium expansion. Supporters can access the Kop from Stanley car park via 97 Avenue or via Arkles Lane.

Fans are reminded that Anfield is located in a residential area, so we ask that you respect residents by leaving quietly and taking any litter home with you. There is also a residents parking scheme in operation. Please do not park on residential streets as parking enforcement will be in operation during matchdays. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.

Will there be food and drink on offer?

Yes, food and drink will be served in the stadium. However, there will be no food containers outside for this fixture.

Supporters can enjoy a pint inside the stadium at a temporary reduced price of £2.90.

The stadium is now cashless, so contactless and/or chip and pin payments are required in all areas.

What COVID-19 measures are in place?

To ensure everyone’s health and safety, we highly recommend that fans wear a face covering, wash or sanitise hands regularly, and maintain distance from fellow supporters where possible. Although no longer required by government guidance, we are still reminding fans about ‘hands, face, space’. Additional sanitiser is available around the stadium.

In line with our city partners at Liverpool City Council’s Ground Safety Advisory Group and Public Health Department, supporters are strongly recommended to take a lateral flow test 24 to 36 hours prior to kick-off and get double vaccinated.
