Reds fan scoops prize for 'Around the World' effort
Liverpool FC’s main club sponsor, Standard Chartered, today announced the winner of their ‘Positive Living Around the World’ campaign competition to mark World AIDS Day.
The ‘Positive Living’ programme wants people to educate themselves about HIV and AIDS, and reinforces the message that everyone, regardless of their HIV status, is entitled to a positive and healthy life. It aims to help eliminate stigma.
To show our support for this campaign, new manager Jürgen Klopp, alongside Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can and Jordon Ibe, recently performed an ‘Around the World’ - the football trick that mimics the shape of the World AIDS Day ribbon.
Supporters were asked to send in their own ‘Around the World’ attempt to our Facebook page using the hashtag #PositiveLivingSC.
Entries were posted from fans all over the globe and, after much deliberation, the judges decided that Noel Leroy Michael Kadum’s entry was a worthy winner and he will receive a Liverpool shirt signed by the whole first-team squad.
