Have your say on redevelopment of Shankly's birthplace
Liverpool supporters are invited to help shape redevelopment plans for the birthplace of the club's iconic former manager Bill Shankly.
The Scottish Mines Restoration Trust is looking into the possibility of developing a heritage centre to commemorate the legacy of the Reds legend and around 50 other professional footballers who hail from Glenbuck in Ayrshire.
Shankly was born in the small Scottish coal-mining village back in 1913 but left in order to forge a career in football south of the border.
The Scot took his first steps as a player with Carlisle United and Preston North End before moving into management with a struggling Liverpool team and laying the foundations for European and domestic dominance.
The trust is now conducting market research and have asked Reds fans for their views so they can examine their interest in a range of different activities that could be considered as part of the redevelopment of Glenbuck.
