McAllister pays special visit to LFC International Academy in Scandinavia
Liverpool legend and club ambassador Gary McAllister is this week on a special tour of Scandinavia taking coaching sessions with youngsters in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
The Scot, who played a major role in inspiring the Reds to win an historic cup treble in 2001, is visiting the Liverpool International Academies and teaching the aspiring young footballers the Liverpool way.
McAllister said: “I am delighted to be visiting the LFC International Academies in Scandinavia to teach young Scandinavian players all about the Liverpool way.
“LFC has a huge number of fans throughout Scandinavia and I am very much looking forward to meeting as many of them as possible throughout this visit.”
The club, in conjunction with official partner Sport Media, has been delivering a variety of coaching courses in Scandinavia for the last 13 years across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and throughout this partnership more than 30,000 young players have been taught the Liverpool way by LFC coaches.
This year, the club has more than 30 soccer schools available in Scandinavia for both boys and girls aged between six and 14 years, with goalkeeping options also available.
While at these courses, players will work on different technical aspects of the game, take part in skills challenges and play in small-sided tournaments.
