The jury at the Hillsborough inquests is set to return its verdicts today, with 14 general questions to be answered in determining how 96 supporters lost their lives on April 15, 1989.

Having retired on April 6 to consider two years’ worth of evidence heard at Birchwood Park in Warrington, the six women and three men will now give their conclusions.

As well as completing individual questionnaires recording the time and cause of death for each of the 96, the jury has also decided upon a series of general questions.

The Liverpool Echo’s Eleanor Barlow has reported on the proceedings in court since they began on March 31, 2014 – the longest-running inquests in UK legal history.

In the clip above, she provides a thorough explanation of the 14 questions the jury has been tasked with answering in an effort to establish the truth surrounding the events of the disaster.
