LFC Foundation host workshop for youngsters at risk in LA
Liverpool FC Foundation hosted a workshop for young people at risk at the Bresee Youth Center in Los Angeles, as part of the Reds' pre-season tour activity.
The workshop, aimed at 16- 25 year olds who are often involved gangs and petty crime, offered an introduction to the LFC Foundation and also talked about key life skills such as respect, dignity and commitment with the aim of encouraging youngsters to make a positive change in their local communities.
Following the workshop, LFC Foundation coaches also delivered a fun coaching programme for the youngsters. The session included skills and drills, and small-sided games, where young people from across the city were encouraged to play together.
Andrea Cooper, head of the Liverpool FC Foundation, said: “The LFC Foundation is committed to supporting young people across the world to improve their health and reach their potential.
“Through our highly trained community coaches we are able to deliver a range of specifically tailored sessions and workshops to engage with as many individuals as possible to promote good health and life chances.”
