Video: Tributes paid across Liverpool on Hillsborough anniversary
Tributes were paid at Anfield, Melwood, the Academy and across the city to mark the 29th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.
96 children, women and men lost their lives on April 15, 1989 as a result of the events at the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.
Jordan Henderson and Jürgen Klopp paid respects on behalf of the club by laying a wreath at the Hillsborough memorial at Anfield on Sunday morning.
The first-team and Academy squads later observed minute’s silences at Melwood and Kirkby respectively, while flags were flown at half-mast.
Poignant tributes took place throughout Liverpool and the bells were chimed 96 times at the Town Hall, as the city paused in remembrance of 96 supporters who will never be forgotten.
