Liverpool FC has launched a new online live chat function to help manage fan queries during the busy Christmas period and provide better response times.

The new online facility will be available via the club’s Help Centre and will allow supporters to chat to a member of the fan services team to manage their enquiry about the online retail store, memberships, the museum tour, and general questions more quickly and effectively.

While the new service will replace the usual telephone enquiry route, supporters will be able to speak to an advisor online and request a call back if they would prefer to discuss their enquiry over the phone.

The changes aim to ensure that maximum staff are available during peak enquiry times over the festive period.

This will provide a more efficient and prompt fan service so supporter enquiries can be dealt with as quickly as possible, while also providing staff members working from home with greater flexibility.

To meet the evolving needs of supporters, fans will also be able to access the online service during longer opening hours to get a fast response to their query.

From today, the opening hours will change from 8am-6pm to 8am-8pm between Monday and Friday, and from 9am-3pm to 9am-5pm on Saturdays. Fans will now also be able to use the function and speak to a member of the team on Sundays from 9am-3pm. Support will also be available during these hours on Twitter via @LFCHelp.

Outside of these hours, supporters will still be able to send their enquiries via email as normal.
