Gerard Houllier's reign as manager of Liverpool FC brought trophies and countless memories to the club’s supporters.
During his six seasons in charge of the Reds, Houllier led his team to the historic League Cup, UEFA Cup and FA Cup treble in 2000-01 and a return to the Champions League.
He would return to the dugout after recovering from life-saving surgery during the 2001-02 campaign and then delivered a second League Cup honour in 2003.
The Frenchman departed Anfield in 2004 having managed 307 competitive matches and re-established the club on the European stage.
