Alan Kennedy has a happy Monday with Red Neighbours
Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy started the week with a smile as he attended Red Neighbours' Monday club at Anfield.
The man who scored two winning goals in European Cup finals for the Reds joined over 70 pensioners at the event, which sees care home residents and elderly locals come together on a monthly basis to enjoy socialising with like-minded people.
Singer Tony Ravel entertained the group with some classic tunes before a fun-filled afternoon of bingo, prize raffles and tea and cake was enjoyed by all.
The Red Neighbours team also presented Amy Myers - the wife of 'This is Anfield' sign creator, Ken – with a commemorative frame to mark his contribution to the history of the club.
Supporting the elderly community is one of the four key focus areas of the Red Neighbours programme, alongside food poverty and education, encouraging a physically active community, and creating memorable experiences for young people.
