Gary McAllister and Peter Moore meet local pupils at careers event
LFC ambassador Gary McAllister and club CEO Peter Moore were on hand to offer their advice to local students at a career speed networking event held at Anfield this week.
Delivered by the Red Neighbours programme, the event saw 48 children from three local high schools meet with Gary, Peter and a host of LFC staff from across the club to learn about their professional journeys.
The year 11 and 12 students – from North Liverpool Academy, Notre Dame Catholic College and Alsop High School – chatted with the LFC representatives about their education, career paths and the various different roles at the club.
Alsop High School pupil, Philip Leamey, said: “It was a really inspirational event and I got such a lot out of the afternoon. What an experience!”
Margaret Aspinall, chair of the Hillsborough Family Support Group, also attended the event and spoke to the young people about important life skills such as integrity, truth and justice.
