Liverpool FC's Red Neighbours programme provided a group of local young fans with a special day at Anfield earlier this month.

Pupils from St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School in L4, just a stone’s throw from the ground, were invited as part of a monthly commitment between Red Neighbours and LFC Stadium Tours to bring local schools, charities and community groups to enjoy the new interactive Stadium Tour.

The youngsters were given access to rarely-seen areas of the stadium, including the dressing rooms, press conference area, tunnel and dugout – with many of the children visiting the Reds’ home for the very first time.

St Matthew’s is the third local school invited to Anfield this year as part of the new initiative, following visits from Faith Primary School and Alsop High School in January and February respectively.
