Red Neighbours and the LFC Foundation joined forces to deliver an employability course for local high school children this summer holidays.

Run in association with the Princes Trust, the course aimed to give an insight into working life and allow youngsters to build relationships and develop responsibility, as well as providing a vocational alternative to students who may not perform well academically.

Seven students from All Saints High School and six from the Princes Trust attended the employability sessions, where the youngsters worked alongside LFC hospitality staff to learn about the work involved and find out more about various positions within the department.

Red Neighbours co-ordinator, Jen Austin, said: "Through collaboration with our Foundation and The Princes Trust we have been able to provide this brilliant opportunity.

"The students have been fantastic throughout the course and have shown a real interest in the different roles around the club, which has not only given them experience of in-house training at Anfield but they’ve each received a job offer upon completion of the course, which is fantastic."
