'I love watching Dani Alves'

The Northern Ireland youth international arrived in Kirkby earlier this summer and has already made great strides after an impressive bow in the 4-0 win in Norway earlier in the competition.

Here he tells us why he regards Barcelona's Dani Alves as the best right-back around, which teammate is a fan of Bear Grylls and why he once made a big splash playing for his country.

Who would win at 'skill skool'?

Kris Peterson. He watches Ronaldo quite a lot and he practices his skills. I'd put him up against Tom Walsh. They are both wingers and have good ability. I think Kris would just pip him though.

If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Los Angeles or Hawaii. I've never been there before but I hope to go to at least one of those destinations sometime soon. When you look at the beaches and the weather they have there on TV, it makes you want to go there.

Last album downloaded?

Chris Brown's Fame. He's one of my favourite artists. It's a bit of a favourite in the dressing room at the moment too. His album is class.

Last film watched?

I saw Jackass 3 recently. No, wait a minute, I went to the cinema the other night and saw the Warrior. It was good and well worth seeing.

Favourite TV show?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I'm a fan of reality shows. That one is particularly good.

Worst dresser?

Kris Peterson. He came in wearing a baby grow outfit one day. I couldn't believe it. No matter how stylish he becomes, or is, that will always mark him down as the worst for me!

Worst taste in music?

Dave Moli. He loves all this London rap. It's not for me. Get it off!

Best moment in football so far?

Making my debut for the reserves in the NextGen Series away to Molde. We won 4-0 so it was a good night, both for me personally and the team.

Worst or most embarrassing moment relating to football...

I was playing in the Victory Shield against England. I ran with the ball down the line and there was a big puddle just in front of me. The defender came in and made a great tackle but I ended up falling straight into it! I was soaked. The crowd found it highly amusing!

Which three teammates would be the most useful to get trapped on a desert island with - and why?

Tom King. He likes all the Bear Grylls stuff, so I think he'd know what to do. Conor Coady is a nice lad and I get on with Brad Smith too. He's a sound guy and if you were going to get stranded, you'd want to get trapped with people you get on with.

If you could take one of the lads to have their haircut, who would it be?

Yalany Baio (laughs). I don't know what he is thinking about with that haircut. He needs to shave it off.

Teammate who spends longest in the mirror?

Kris Peterson and Tom Walsh. Straight after training they are in the mirror trying to make themselves look perfect. We wind them up by saying they want to look like Ronaldo! We are talking about an hour or so in the mirror. I've been here a while now and I've not once seen Tom without any gel in his hair!

Best ever player in your position?

From what I've seen, Daniel Alves. Everyone knows how good he is going forward but that guy can defend too. You can see that when he goes up against Ronaldo at Real Madrid. I watch him to try and pick up bits because I rate him as the complete right-back.

Liverpool have some good right-backs too...

Of course. Glen Johnson is the England right-back and a great player. Then you've got Martin Kelly and Jon Flanagan who have done brilliantly whenever they've been called upon.

Best thing about playing for Liverpool?

It's the biggest club in the world in my opinion. We've got a huge following. It's really big where I come from in Ireland and I'm delighted to be here.

And just finally, you play Molde in the NextGen Series today - can we still qualify for the knockout stage?

Yes, of course. We shouldn't underestimate Molde even though we beat them 4-0 in Norway. We need to play as well as we did in Wolfsburg, but this time we need to take our chances. If we can get the three points it would set us up for a massive game in Lisbon. I think we can still qualify and we'll be doing everything in our power to make it happen.
