'They hung my clothes from the roof'

The attacking midfielder has made an impressive start to life under Mike Marsh, capping his fine form with a stunning goal in the 2-2 draw with Barnsley.

Here he tells us why he loves Andres Iniesta, which U18 star is already receding and how his wardrobe was once the talk of the Academy.

Who would win at 'skill skool'?

It would be between Kris Peterson and Tom Walsh. Kris would just edge it.

If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Miami. It looks like a great place and I'm happy if there's a bit of sun.

Last album downloaded?

I'm into my dance tunes. I like a bit of funky house. The last album I downloaded was by the Swedish House Mafia.

Last film watched?

The Town. It's got Ben Affleck in it and some of it is shot in the Boston Red Sox's stadium. It's a quality film.

Favourite TV show?

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Will Smith is hilarious.

Worst dresser?

Peter Aylmer. He has the worst trainers going.

Worst taste in music?

Probably Peter Aylmer again! He tries to stick on a lot of heavy metal music from time to time. It doesn't last long.

Best moment in football so far?

Getting my scholarship here at the Academy and going up to Melwood and playing in a training match with the first-team. We lost it but it was great to play against the likes of Steven Gerrard.

Worst or most embarrassing moment relating to football...

The lads all played a prank on me and they tied up all my clothes. I walked in after training and all my gear was in full view, hanging from the roof!

Which three teammates would be the most useful to get trapped on a desert island with - and why?

Peter Aylmer. He'd be there just for being able to laugh at his clothes. Joe Rafferty and Adam Morgan would also be there because they'd have some fun teasing Pete too! We'd all have a great laugh because Pete is a brilliant lad and a good sport.

If you could take one of the lads to have their haircut, who would it be?

I'd say Tom King. I think he's receding a fair bit and he just needs to shave it all off. I know everyone else has said Baio, but I'll leave him alone!

Teammate who spends longest in the mirror?

Tom Walsh. He's there for a good half an hour.

Best ever player in your position?

Andres Iniesta at Barcelona. He's just a class act. I remember his display against Man United a few years back when he dominated the Champions League final in Rome. He also scored the winner in the World Cup final.

Best thing about playing for Liverpool FC?

The supporters.

And just finally, you play Everton this weekend, how much do you look forward to the derby?

Well I grew up as an Everton fan, so I really look forward to the derby. Whenever I pull on that red shirt I'm desperate to beat them and hopefully we can get the three points today. I've being playing okay so far this season and want to continue to contribute to the team as much as possible. We lost against Blackburn in our last match so this is the perfect game to bounce back in.
