It's regarded as one of the Premier League's greatest ever matches and as the two old rivals prepare to lock horns once more, LFC TV chats to one of the heroes of our famous 3-3 draw with Manchester in January 1994.

On a bitterly cold night in L4, United stunned Anfield by storming into a three-goal lead inside the opening 24 minutes.

But a Nigel Clough brace before half-time had Kopites dreaming of completing what at one point appeared to be the most unlikely of comebacks.

And a draw was secured with a little over 10 minutes left on the clock when Neil Ruddock rose highest to bullet home a Stig Inge Bjornebye centre and put the seal on of the most pulsating matches of the modern era.

"That is the best goal I've scored on television," Ruddock tells LFC TV in 'My Greatest Game', to be screened tonight at 7.30pm.

"I leapt like a salmon, hung like a hawk and smashed it into the back of the net!

"It was a great feeling. I just remember the noise - to run back, and have the Kop singing your name is the greatest moment of my footballing career, and I was just lucky to be a part of it."

Chatting to Matt Critchley at Anfield, the man known in the dressing room as 'Razor' speaks openly about the rollercoaster of emotions Liverpool's players experienced as they went from despair, to hope, to elation within the space of 90 absorbing minutes.

"The pace of the game was unbelievable," he says. "When you're out there, everything's a 100 miles an hour. Everybody's running around, there was chance after chance and no time to settle down.

"It was like an old fashioned FA Cup tie - it was just crazy, a proper game to be involved in.

"Going in at half-time, we've got our backs up. All of a sudden we've got a chance. It was a confusing situation at half-time, the manager didn't have to say a lot. We were all pumped up, we were a different team."

Liverpool pressed in search of a leveller but with the likes of Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush and John Barnes on the pitch, it was Ruddock who found the back of the net.

As Anfield went wild, the defender's celebrations were somewhat muted by his own standards, though, having taken a blow to the face in the process of scoring.

He quips: "I'd take a smash in the face all day long if I could relive that and play out there again!"

Make sure you tune into 'Neil Ruddock: My Greatest Game' to relive one of the finest matches of the Premier League era at 7.30pm on LFC TV tonight.
