In our latest starlet in profile interview, we speak to midfielder Craig Roddan ahead of Tuesday night's Barclays Premier Reserve League North encounter with Peter Beardsley's Newcastle United in Northumberland.

Roddan has been at the Academy since the age of 14 after arriving from Wigan Athletic and is making good strides under the expert tutelage of Rodolfo Borrell.

Here he tells us how he achieved an ambition last week playing alongside Steven Gerrard, which double act would be perfect at 'skill school' and his best moment at LFC so far.

Who would win at 'skill skool'?

There's a few of the lads who have some good tricks but I would say the best two would be Raheem Sterling and Matty McGiveron. It would be a good little contest between those two.

If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Las Vegas. It's somewhere I've always wanted to go because it just sounds an amazing place.

Last album downloaded?

It was a dance compilation album.

Last film watched?

Planet of the Apes, a good film.

Favourite TV show?

It has to be Only Fools and Horses, it's so funny and I wish it was still going now. I just brought the box set.

Worst dresser?

Krisztian Adorjan takes some beating but I would have to go with Adam Hajdu. He has got some well dodgy outfits!

Worst taste in music?

Raheem Sterling.

Best moment in football so far?

Playing at Anfield in the FA Youth Cup last season. The Crystal Palace game was very enjoyable.

Worst or most embarrassing moment relating to football...

When we lost 4-0 to Everton in the title race last season and the final game when I was sent-off against Wolves. The penalty decision frustrated me, but I still should have handled the situation better.

Which three teammates would be the most useful to get trapped on a desert island with - and why?

Matty McGiveron and Michael Roberts. We would have a right laugh. I would also say Conor Coady who is a great leader and he could help us get off the island!

If you could take one of the lads to have their haircut, who would it be?

Toni Silva, it has to be.

Teammate who spends longest in the mirror?

There's a few of them to be fair but the worst is Suso.

Best ever player in your position?

Steven Gerrard, he is amazing. We trained with him the other day and I played alongside him in a friendly against Wrexham. It was unreal.

Best thing about playing for Liverpool FC?

Just to play for Liverpool, one of the best teams in the world, and the famous Kop.
